Do you crave a garden that feels nourishing, beautiful, and alive—but instead you may feel overwhelmed, unsure where to begin, or discouraged by past attempts that didn’t quite work?

You are not alone.

Many of the people I work with care deeply about food quality, ecology, and creating a meaningful outdoor space for their families. They want a garden that produces, supports pollinators, and feels like a sanctuary—but busy schedules, water limitations, and conflicting advice often get in the way.

That’s where I come in.

Hi, I’m April—the garden consultant and coach behind Marigold Gardens. I help people create edible and herbal landscapes that actually work for their climate, lifestyle, and season of life. My goal is simple: to empower you with the knowledge, confidence, and support you need to grow food, medicine, and beauty at home—without overwhelm or perfectionism.

I specialize in food-forward gardens, herbal landscapes, and the thoughtful integration of native plants. I’m especially drawn to rewilding our home spaces—using true native plants to support pollinators, beneficial insects, and the broader ecosystem that makes healthy gardens possible. When we design with nature instead of against it, gardens become more resilient, more productive, and far more rewarding.

As an intuitive gardener, I believe good design starts with a plan—but truly comes to life by listening to the land itself. While I create clear, practical designs to guide the process, I stay flexible and responsive on-site. Nature doesn’t follow rigid rules, and gardens thrive when we allow them to evolve in harmony with both human needs and the wisdom of the natural world.

At Marigold Gardens, I focus on regenerative, sustainable practices that build healthy soil, conserve water, and create thriving ecosystems. This approach leads to gardens that are not only productive and beautiful, but also lower-maintenance and more resilient over time. After all, a kitchen garden can’t succeed without the pollinators and beneficial insects that support it.

I don’t believe in doing the garden for you. I believe in walking alongside you—guiding, teaching, and encouraging—so you feel confident caring for your garden long after our work together ends.

Because we aren’t just gardeners. We’re stewards of the land, no matter the size of our space. And when more people grow food, welcome native plants, and create habitat at home, the ripple effect reaches far beyond the garden gate.

If you’re ready to create a garden that nourishes your family, supports local ecosystems, and brings more beauty and meaning into your everyday life, I’d love to help.

Let’s grow something lasting—together.
